On Sunday, the third annual Barbados Music Awards will come off at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium, and next week I hope to bring you all the fashion and glitz of the event.
What's new with the awards this year? Well, it's under the patronage of a new Prime Minister (you can click on the poster to see a larger version) and I understand that this year Rihanna, who's nominated in six categories, will not be attending. Don't worry though, there'll be lots of star power at the event...in addition to performances from local heavy weights such as Hal Linton, Krosfyah and Lil Rick, Machel Montano, Beenie Man and Swizz Beats will be performing as well.
