Ignorance never goes out of fashion

After President Barack Obama's triumph at the polls and the outpouring of goodwill extended towards him, it's only natural for those who subscribe to Racist Weekly to come outa the woodwork.

This so-called satire was featured in today's New York Post:

Uh-huh. Ain't nobody laughing, fools. And you know Rev. Al is all over that....

No it never does. It just evolves!
Back in Nov. I had to shake my head each time some journalist posed the question of the of whether the end of racism in the U.S was over now that they had elected Sen. Obama as the 44th president. Well to all of you journalists( since you are no longer reporters) here is your answer in an editorial cartoon by one of your own.

What were you thinking back then and what are you thinking now?

Thanks for your comment, Anon. Good question.

Khaidji, sorry I was working late and tired and hit reject instead of publish for your poem!:( You can send it again if you like.

Sorry you are still working around the clock, especially having to run home to a little one. Hope all is well on that front.

My Acrostic Poem

Caricature

Chimpanzee shot dead by the police
And made to personify the President in a release
Racial slurs with violent intent
Is this cartoonist so dangerously bent
Can he not see this is a treasonous flaw
Any such cartoon should be an infringement of our Law
There is little doubt this is poor taste at satire
Undoubtedly it’s provocative and invites guns on hire
Removing this cartoon is too late, we must scrub each mind
Every racial slur and provocation should be removed from 2009

Thanks for sending the poem again, Khaidji. The little one is relatively fine, thanks. He's teething at the moment so you know how that goes.:)
