Isn't it facsinating that we are fascinated by "inter-racial" couples? Did you know that race is not a biological/scientific fact, but a social/political construct. Genes make up the characterfistics of race... and not "race genes" either. No such things. (There are some tidy commentaries on this subject on many websites... want a few?)
ReplyDeleteThis means that some of your couples are not really inter-racial anyway... Tiger is not "Black" but mixed, Halle is not "Black" but mixed, and a few others look suspect.
How about the Great Race Debate of recent vintage that went on on VOB? Any takers??
Which gets me to this: race is not really important in some circles, and it probably isn't among many in "Hollywood" (No doubt for many it always will be.)
The author is really cool. But some of the commentators are just posting stupid words.
